Clinical Effect of Sulgycotide in Chronic Gastritis

Abstract
The patients of peptic ulcer and chronic gastritis are rather many among G- I patients in Korea.
Hot food, drug abuse, alcohol drinking and psychological stress are emphasized for causes of those diseases.
It is important in clinical viewpoint that those patients are treated carefully even though those disease are benign in nature.
The anti-ulcer, antisecretory and antipeptic properties of a new sulfated glycopeptide have been described in previous publications1-2).
We studied the clinical effect of oral sulglycotide medication in chronic gastritis and a few peptic patients. Clinical manifestations are improved with 2 weeks oral sulglycotide medication in 82.3% and with 4 weeks in 91.1%. In peptic ulcer patients, combined therapy with other ulcer regimens are more effective than single use.
Side effects with oral sulglycotide were not significantly concerned.
